A Dungeons & Dragons character called "Zinbradar Greymark"; a dragonborn paladin.
Sketched with pencil, scan coloured with Wacom Intous 4. The original has a resolution of 3306x4676 pixels.
I used the Wizards of the Coast drawings as orientation but my version deviates from them - this is how i imagine a dragonborn. Below some prior sketches of the character. All of them made spring 2012.

Half the Symmetry - Right Half reloaded (2011)

I was asked to make a set of icons for the recently developed radionics software PC Garith (by Munovamus*Radionik; programming by Rolf Resler). The software works currently is in German only and works with the SE-5 1000 (see PC Garith link above).
The user can choose between two "skins" - one in blue, the other more colourful. All icons are 24x24 pixels - a challenge to work with these tiny dimensions. But a great experience.

A very recent work - it depicts the "woman in the moon", travelling with it towards the surface of earth where her feet are bound to walk her very first steps on earthly paths.

I traced a first sketch (manually) with vectors. Colourisation afterwards (pixel-based); I kept it relatively flat on purpose. There were several versions - it came down to the two below.

Full wallpaper size is 2560x1600 - download - set as background - enjoy ;)

In 2008 I was asked by a friend to make an avatar and to integrate certain elements (the moon, a woman, leaves, and the colour blue). Recently I stumbled over the picture and decided to give it a makeover.

I think it would make a great CD cover. EDIT: In the meantime it found its purpose as cover art for a mixtape.

It depicts an abstraction of the pulsing city life: cars, houses, movement, lights, shadows, chaos, shapes.

I loved Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Last time i watched it I decided that Ramona Flowers deserved to get her very own comic style makeover (based on the movie; I actually did not read the original comic yet). So there I went.

The version below was the first one; fully coloured. Then I looked for a way to enhance the shadows and finally got to a "sin city" styled comic look (see picture above).

I could not yet decide on a background. So for now it's just her. And her hammer. And some blood.

welcome to my artlog

As you may have guessed from the blog's name I dedicated it to my artworks. It is meant as a digital portfolio. To show others what I'm working on. And to show them why they'd want ME to design something for them :).

Most of what I've done was in illustration and compositing. Currently I'm shifting my focus to "design work"; e.g. print (business cards, CD artworks, flyers, layout,...), digital (logos, webdesign & optimization,...).

Enjoy. Comment. And learn about

Viel Spass beim Betrachten meiner Bilder. Und natürlich freue ich mich auf Kommentare.
